ICC ODI Batting Rankings: Pakistan’s Sam Ayub has been in excellent form for some time and is performing well. He showed strong performance and scored a stormy century against Zimbabwe and proved to be the biggest match winner for the team. It was because of him that the Pakistani team was successful in winning the match by 10 wickets. Now Ayub has been rewarded for his good performance in the ICC ODI rankings for batsmen.

Pakistan’s Sam Ayub has made huge gains in ICC’s new ODI rankings for batsmen. He has jumped 80 places to 90th and has 451 rating points. He is at a new peak. Earlier his ranking among batsmen in ODIs was 170.

Had scored an excellent century against Zimbabwe

In the second ODI against Zimbabwe, Sam Ayub presented an example of explosive batting and scored a century in just 53 balls. He became the joint third fastest century scorer for Pakistan in ODI and equaled Shahid Afridi. In the match, he scored 113 runs in 62 balls, which included 17 fours and three sixes. He also received the Player of the Match award for his excellent performance.

Made debut this year

Sam Ayub is only 22 years old and he made his ODI debut for the Pakistani team in the year 2024. After this, he has scored a total of 249 runs in 5 ODI matches so far, which includes one century. He has also played 6 Test and 23 T20 International matches for the Pakistani team.

Babar Azam is present at number one

Pakistan’s superstar batsman Babar Azam is at number one in the ICC ODI rankings for batsmen. He has 809 rating points. After this, the next three places are occupied by Indian batsmen. Rohit Sharma (765 rating) is at second place, Shubman Gill (763 rating) is at third place and Virat Kohli (746 rating) is at fourth place.
