Sanju Samson is currently going through a golden phase in his cricket career. Recently, he has scored two back to back centuries in T20 International for India. However, during this period he has also been out on zero in between. Now Sanju has achieved a special position in the new T20 rankings released by ICC. Which had never been touched before. He is currently at his all-time high ranking.

Sanju Samson gains in ICC T20 rankings

Sanju Samson has made a huge jump this time in the T20 rankings released by ICC. He has directly captured the 22nd position with a jump of 17 places. His rating at present is 598, which he has managed to reach for the first time. Till just a few days ago, Sanju’s place in the Indian team was not confirmed, but in the meanwhile he took advantage of the opportunities he got and scored a lot of runs. It should be expected that Sanju’s bat will continue like this in the series in future also and he will be seen reaching even greater heights in the ranking.

Sanju had scored two centuries against South Africa only.

Sanju Samson had scored a brilliant 107 runs in the very first match of the four-match series played against South Africa. After this he was out twice without opening the account. But in the last match of the series, he again played an unbeaten inning of 109 runs and dominated. Now Sanju will be seen playing for his team Kerala in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, similar performance is expected from him there also.

Batsmen who scored the most T20 International runs for India this year

Sanju Samson has also become the highest run-scorer for India in T20 International this year. In the year 2024, he has scored 436 runs in 12 innings of 13 matches. During this period, he has succeeded in scoring 3 centuries and one half-century. His average is 43.60 and he is scoring runs at a strike rate of 180.16. The interesting thing is that this year he has been out on duck 5 times i.e. without even opening the account.
