IND vs AUS: Another problem for Team India, now Shubman Gill injured before Perth Test
The Indian team has reached Australia to play the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against the Australian team starting from 22nd November, in which Team India is currently playing a three-day intra squad match in Perth. While KL Rahul got injured on the first day of this match, Sarfaraz Khan got injured during net practice before that. Now during the second day’s play, the Indian team got another big blow in the form of Shubman Gill who injured his hand while fielding in the slips. In such a situation, there is a doubt about his playing in the first match of this Test series to be played in Perth.
Shubman Gill left the field as soon as he got injured.
According to the news in ESPN Cricinfo regarding Shubman Gill, Gill injured the finger of his left hand while slip fielding during the second intra squad match at the WACA Stadium in Perth, after which he immediately left the field. While Shubman Gill used to handle the responsibility of opening, after the debut of Yashasvi Jaiswal, he was given a chance to play at number-3 position. However, if captain Rohit Sharma does not play in the first match of this series to be held at Optus Stadium in Perth, then in this situation Gill can be given the responsibility of opening.
Shubman Gill came out to bat twice on the first day
In the first day’s play of the intra squad match, Shubman Gill got a chance to bat twice, in which he scored 28 runs in the first time and was caught out in the gully off the ball of Navdeep Saini. After this, when Gill got a chance to bat for the second time, he scored 42 runs till the end of the day. Shubhman Gill is visiting Australia for the second time in his career, in which last time when Team India had registered a historic win on the Gabba ground, Shubhman Gill played a very important role in the opening.
