IND vs AUS: A mountain of troubles fell on Team India in Australia, 2 players got injured before the Perth Test.
The Indian cricket team is on Australia tour and is preparing for the first Test match in Perth. The Test series between India and Australia will start from November 22 in which 5 matches will be played. The very first match of this series will be played on the fast and bouncy pitch of Perth Stadium, for the preparation of which Team India is sweating profusely. However, since reaching Australia, Team India has faced huge difficulties.
Actually, Team India’s middle-order batsman Sarfaraz Khan suffered an elbow injury while batting in the nets during India’s practice session at the WACA on Thursday, November 14. In a video posted by ‘Fox Cricket’, Sarfaraz was seen holding his right hand as he walked out of the net. During this time he was looking somewhat uncomfortable. However, it has been learned that the injury is not serious and the batsman did not need to get an MRI done.
Sarfaraz got hurt
Sarfaraz can play in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Perth as there is doubt about Indian captain Rohit Sharma playing in the first Test. Rohit is still in Mumbai for the birth of his second child. If Rohit is not available for the first match of the series, then Lokesh Rahul may be asked to open the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal, which will create a place for Sarfaraz in the middle order.
KL increased the tension of Team India
However, like Sarfaraz, KL Rahul also had to face injury before the Perth Test match. KL Rahul got injured during practice at Waca, Perth on Friday morning. KL suffered a right elbow injury during a center wicket match simulation ahead of the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. This has increased India’s tension. It is noteworthy that earlier Team India was to play an intra squad match against India A under the captaincy of Ruturaj Gaikwad in Perth but it was cancelled. After this the Indian team decided to practice center wicket match simulation in Perth.
