Bhubaneswar: The state government has set the target to issue the new ration cards to the eligible beneficiaries by January 2025.The new ration cards will be made available to the eligible beneficiaries from the New Year 2025 in Odisha.
The e-KYC verification will be completed this month. The e-KYC verification, which started last July, will be completed in November. This was informed by Krushna Chandra Patra, the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister of the State.
The e-KYC process is still going on and will be completed in a few days. After the process is over, a complete list of eligible beneficiaries will be prepared.
After the e-KYC verification, the beneficiaries will get the new ration card in January 2025. The minister informed that more than 16 lakh eligible beneficiaries have been identified who will be issued with a ration card each.
