The West Indies team is currently playing a 5-match T20 series against England at home, in the first 2 matches of which the West Indies team had to face a one-sided defeat. Now Cricket West Indies has announced the squad for the last 3 matches of this series, in which fast bowler Alzarri Joseph, who was suspended for the first two matches, has returned to the team. The last three matches of this series will be played at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St. Lucia on 14, 16 and 17 November.
Andre Russell out of the team due to injury
While Alzarri Joseph has returned to the Windies squad for the last three matches of this T20 series, the team’s star all-rounder Andre Russell has been ruled out of the entire series due to a left ankle injury. In place of Russell, Shamar Springer has been included in the team as an all-rounder player, who has played only two matches in his T20 career so far. Now the West Indies team will have to play much better on the field in the last three matches to keep this series alive.
With Springer’s arrival in the team, West Indies team captain Rovman Powell will also get another option in bowling. In the first match of this series, England had a target of 183 runs, which they achieved at the loss of only 8 wickets, while in the second match, they achieved the target of 159 runs at the loss of only three wickets.
