Champions Trophy 2025: Pakistan is beating its head due to India’s action, repeatedly making only one request to ICC
Champions Trophy 2025: ICC’s next biggest tournament is going to be the Champions Trophy. It is to be organized in Pakistan. However, BCCI has clearly refused that Team India will not tour Pakistan for this tournament. After which there has been a stir throughout Pakistan. BCCI has informed ICC that it will not send Team India to Pakistan. Now Pakistan has sought clarification from the ICC as to why India will not come to their country for the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025. Pakistan is asking the same thing from ICC again and again.
Why did India refuse to go to Pakistan?
The Board of Control for Cricket in India had sent a letter to the ICC last week, in which it was clearly stated that due to security reasons, it will not allow Team India to travel to Pakistan. Even after India gave reasons, Pakistan has again demanded clarification from the ICC. According to the report of Cricbuzz, PCB spokesperson has said that PCB had replied to the ICC letter only last week. Where he has sought clarification from ICC as to why Team India will not tour Pakistan.
Pakistan wrote letter to ICC
Pakistan Cricket Board has also said in its letter to ICC that New Zealand, England and Australia have visited their country in recent times. Moreover, two of these teams have done this more than once. However, BCCI is sticking to their decision and after their official stand, the tournament is in deep trouble. ICC is now considering alternative events. Whereas PCB has also sought advice from its government regarding the future strategy. Recently, PTI had informed in its report that if Pakistan is not ready for the hybrid model, then the Champions Trophy can also be shifted from Pakistan to South Africa.
