Recipe of rice and jaggery kheer made during Chhath Puja.

First step: To make kheer you will have to take 1 cup of rice. About 2-3 liters of milk is required for kheer. Cut about 200 grams of jaggery into pieces. 1 teaspoon cardamom powder, 10 almonds finely chopped, 10 cashews finely chopped, 10 raisins cut into 2 pieces and 1 teaspoon desi ghee.

Second step: Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it in water. This will cook the kheer quickly. Now keep the milk in a vessel to boil. When the milk comes to a boil, drain the water from the soaked rice and add it to the milk. Keep stirring the kheer continuously. To make kheer, use a vessel with a heavy bottom, so that the kheer does not stick to the bottom.

Now add cardamom to the kheer and continue cooking on low flame. You have to cook the kheer until it becomes thick.

Fourth step: When the kheer is completely ready, add finely chopped dry fruits to it. Cook the kheer for about 5 minutes and then add desi ghee and turn off the gas. Add jaggery in kheer as per your taste.

Fifth step: Delicious kheer made of jaggery and rice is ready. You make it as Prasad on the day of Kharna and feed it to the entire family. Jaggery kheer is also very beneficial in winter. You can cook and feed your family.
