Cyclone DANA Has Destroyed Rs. 600 Crore: Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari
Bhubaneswar: After the destruction caused by cyclone DANA the damage report has been issued by the govt of Odisha. Reports of damage caused by cyclone Dana in some districts of the state have come in. Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari gave information about the damage on Monday. According to the initial estimates, the damage is around Rs 600 crore.
The minister said that Balasore, Bhadrak and Kendrapara districts have been particularly affected. Apart from these, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack have also been affected. Reports have been received from all departments except the Panchayati Raj department. However, the final count will be made after receiving all the reports by evening.
A total of 131 blocks of 14 districts of the state have been affected, while 41 lakh people from 11,637 villages have been affected. 16,417 houses have been affected, while 27 houses have been completely damaged. 14,680 houses have been partially damaged. After the final report comes, the actual damage will be clear and assistance will be provided to the affected, the minister said.
