Bhubaneswar: A leopard footprint was found at the airport in the capital of the state. Panic gripped among the locals after a leopard was spotted at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
The leopard entered the high security area of the airport and disappeared, said an airport employee.
Some employees saw the wild animal near the dumping yard of the Bhubaneswar Airport this morning and informed the authority.
On being informed about the sighting of the Leopard, the Airfield police and forest department reached and started observing the movements of the large cat. The forest department have launched a rescue operation to nab the leopard.
Earlier in 2019, forest officials had caught a leopard from Bhubaneswar Airport premises and released into the Chandaka forest.
