Listen Patiently To The Complaints Even If It Comes At 2 Am: CM Majhi To SPs

Bhubaneswar: The joint conference of CM Majhi with District Collectors and SP held at Lok Seva Bhawan. On this two days program, the Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said that the appointment of home guards was stopped in the previous government but their employment is given priority in the current government.

Home guards workload is more as compare to others, but no one asks them. A scheme is in place to pay compensation in case of death of a working home guards. There is also a plan to employ a family member after death.

The Chief Minister said that 10 ODRAF units will be increased as well.

Addressing the present Superintendent of Guards, the Chief Minister issued a warning to all the cops. He said, strict action will be taken regardless of the position of the criminal. As per a report published in 2022, the rate of action taken against accused of violence against women is only 9.73%, which is very disappointing, our government will not tolerate it.

The Chief Minister has directed the SPs to report the related pending cases within weeks. Listen patiently to the complaints of people coming to the police station. Listen when they come, even if it comes at 2 am. Publicize that the police are people’s friends.

Adding to that CM Majhi also said that every policeman will have a bike. There will be 2 jeeps in the police station. The government has decided to take such steps to make the work easier and simpler.
