Plus 2 Exams Starts From Feb 15; Know The New Exam Pattern

Bhubaneswar: +2 examination will start from  February 15, 2025. The practical examination and internal examination will be completed between December 26 and January 15. Prashant Kumar Parida, Controller of Examinations of Higher Secondary Education Council informed this.

The question pattern has changed for the students who are going to appear in the 2025 exam. Now, in the annual exam, instead of 100, the candidate will have to take the theory test of 80 marks. Out of which 24 marks is the passing mark. If a candidate couldn’t able to secure 24 marks out of 80 it will be considered as fail.

Remaining 20 marks will be internal exam. The number of marks obtained by the examinee will be added to the total marks. If combined with theory marks, it will not be counted as pass.

For example, there will be a total of 80 marks in English, History, Political Science. Out of that, the candidate will pass only if he secures 24 marks i.e. 30% marks. If a candidate secures 18 out of 20 marks in the internal examination, and 20 out of 80 marks in the theory examination, he will be declared fail.
