Putin approves amendments to law on presidential election – Decree
Moscow, Nov 14 : Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved amendments to the law on presidential election in the country, according to the corresponding decree published on the official legal information portal on Tuesday.
The amendments provide for a ban on campaigning on all blocked resources, as well as a number of clarifications regarding the work of the media, among others. In particular, only those media representatives who operate on the basis of an employment contract can be present at meetings of election commissions, as well as there are restrictions on carrying out photo and video filming at polling stations located in military units.
Additionally, voting in Russian regions, where martial law has been introduced, is possible based on the results of consultations of the Central Election Commission of Russia with the Ministry of Defense, the FSB and the head of the relevant region.
