Mumbai, Nov 5 : Shiv Sena (Shinde Group) spokesperson Jyoti Waghmare said that the state government, led by Eknath Shinde, is working on a war footing to get reservation for the Maratha community.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, she said that the government has taken several steps to ensure that the Maratha community gets reservation within the framewframework of the Constitution and the law.
The government will not stop just by forming a committee and collecting Kunbi records, but will review the
progress of the retired Justice Sandeep Shinde Committee weekly, she said.
At the same time, the Chief Minister has given an instruction to increase allocation of loans to entrepreneurs of the Maratha community, she said.
The government will also empower women entrepreneurs in the Maratha community, she said.
Ms Waghmare further said that today Ministers Sandipan Bhumre and Anil Save met Manoj Jarange-Patil and gave him a copy of the new GR.
Jarange-Patil has expressed his satisfaction over the latest development, she added.
