Mumbai : Erasing losses of the last two sessions, the BSE Sensex on Thursday bounced back by 518 points at 59,708.29 in the opening session as buying was seen across the board.
The Nifty too rose by 162 points at 17,808.99.
The Sensex registered the days high and low at 59,810.66 and 59,597.06 points respectively.
The Nifty recorded the days high and low at 17,828.40 and 17,763.80 points.
The Mid Cap rose by 1.46 per cent and Small Cap by 1.36 per cent.
In 30 scrips, 28 advanced while 2 declined.
The gainers were Titan by 7.63 per cent to Rs 2310.55, Maruti Suzuki by 4.08 per cent to Rs 7494.20, M & M by 3.20 per cent to Rs 860.45, Bajaj Auto by 1.42 per cent to Rs 3843.75 and IndusInd Bank by 1.77 per cent to Rs 1151.55.
