Odisha SRC Advises People to Keep Emergency Kit On Prevailing Hot Weather Condition In State
Bhubaneswar: As per the forecast of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) possibility of extremely hot weather for Odisha in the next few days.
Consequently, day temperature is likely to be 40°C or above at a few places in the state over a few districts during the next 4-5 days.
The weather condition is likely to be hot and uncomfortable during this period. On Monday, Bhubaneswar recorded 31°C by 8.30 am.;
Taking this summer temperature rise into account, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) to Twitter to share a few tips for the citizens to remain safe during the possible heat wave. He suggested families to keep emergency kits ready with them. This emergency that includes water bottle, glucose/ORS, umbrella/hat/cap to counter the heat wave condition.

The IMD has also issued a yellow warning and forecast that light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at a few places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, and one or two places in the districts of coastal Odisha.
