The squad of the Indian team for the Champions Trophy for the Physically Challenged was already made, in which the responsibility of captaincy was given to Vikrant Ravindra Kenny and vice-captain Ravindra Gopinath Sante was made. The team was selected after a training camp organized in Jaipur under the supervision of former first-class cricketer and head coach Rohit Jhalani. The Champions Trophy for the Disabled is to be held in Sri Lanka, for which the Indian team has now left for Sri Lanka.

During the tournament to be held in Sri Lanka from January 12, the Indian team will face strong teams like England, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. General Secretary of ‘Disabled Cricket Council of India (DCCI)’ Ravikant Chauhan said that the team has been selected after a rigorous selection process. We are confident that this team will perform well in the tournament and make India proud. On this occasion, he thanked the voluntary organization ‘Swayam’ for supporting the team. DDCA President Rohan Jaitley was also present on this occasion. Captained by Mumbai’s Vikrant Ravindra Kenny, this team includes wicketkeeper Yogendra Singh from Madhya Pradesh and Devendra Singh from Uttar Pradesh.

India will play its first match against Pakistan

This tournament for disabled players is being organized for the first time since 2019 and India will start its campaign with a match against Pakistan. This match will take place on January 12. After this, India will play against England on 13 January and Sri Lanka on 15 January. After this, India will again play Pakistan on 16 January, England on 18 January and Sri Lanka on 19 January. The Indian team will play two matches against each team. The final match will be held on January 21. All India matches will be telecasted on DD Sports.
