World Test Championship 2023-25: A total of two final matches of the World Test Championship have taken place so far, in which Australia has won once and New Zealand once. Now the third final of the WTC will be played at the historic Lord’s ground in England. For this, South Africa and Australia have already secured their place in the finals. Both the teams have an army of star players, who can change the course of the match in Test cricket. Even though both the finalists of WTC 2025 have been decided, there are still matches left for four teams including Pakistan, West Indies, Sri Lanka and Australia in WTC 2023-25.
Pakistani team has to play a two test match series
The Pakistani team has currently gone to Africa to play a two-Test series against South Africa. The second match of the series is being held between the two teams on the grounds of Cape Town. After this, the Pakistani team will play a two-Test series against West Indies. The teams of Pakistan and West Indies have not been able to reach the final of the World Test Championship even once.
Test series schedule between Pakistan and West Indies:
First Test- 16 to 20 January; karachi
Second Test- 24 to 28 January; Multan
The Australian team has recently won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India 3-1. Now with this he has confirmed his place in the finals. But Australia still has two Test matches left, which it has to play against Sri Lanka on its own soil. The first match of this test series will be played on 29 January. The second match will be held from 6th February.

Indian team’s dream of reaching the final broken
This time the Indian team could not make it to the final of the World Test Championship. Whereas he had made it to the finals both the previous times and had lost. India had to lose the Test series 3-0 at home against New Zealand. Team India had lost the Test series at home after 12 years. This defeat proved to be the most important factor in getting him out of the finals. Even after this, Team India had a chance to qualify by winning the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, but it lost the series 3-1 and its dream of reaching the final was shattered.
