Shan Masood created mutiny in South Africa

Shan Masood Record: Shan Masood has created a stir after reaching South Africa. Captain Shan Masood took command to save the Pakistani team, who came to bat again after the follow-on, from an innings defeat and is working to take his team forward. Meanwhile, he has destroyed a record that was almost 27 years old. The work which big batsmen could not do in Tests on South African soil, has now been done by Shaan.

Shan Masood broke Azhar Mahmood’s record

Captain Shan Masood has scored 137 runs against South Africa and is currently unbeaten. This is the best score by any Pakistani batsman in South Africa. In the year 1998, Pakistan’s Azhar Mahmood had played an inning of 136 runs in South Africa. This was a record, which has now been broken. Taufiq Umar of Pakistan had played an inning of 135 runs in South Africa. Whereas Saeed Anwar had played an inning of 118 runs in South Africa. Now the batsman who played the biggest test innings in South Africa has become Shan Masood.

Partnership of more than 200 runs between Babar Azam and Shan Masood

In the second innings of the match, when the Pakistani team took the field after follow-on, they got good support from former captain Babar Azam. There was a brilliant partnership of 205 runs between Shan Masood and Babar Azam. However, after Babar Azam was out, Khurram Shehzad also soon left. Kamran Ghulam also became a slave after scoring only 28 runs. But the good thing for Pakistan was that Shan Masood remained in charge of one end. Although it will not be easy for Pakistan to avoid defeat from here too, it is certain that the Pakistani team can save the innings defeat. Today is the fourth day of the match, after this one more day will be left. That means the scope for draw is also very less.

There will be no impact on the World Test Championship

The Pakistani team has lost the first match of the series and something similar seems to be happening in the second one as well. The Pakistani team is already out of the race for the final of the World Test Championship, while the South African team has already entered it. The result of this match is therefore important only for this series, it will not have any impact on the rest of the WTC points table.
