Overall, he has become the second Pakistani captain to score a century in Tests for South Africa. Before him, Misbah-ul-Haq had scored a century as captain against South Africa in 2013 and had scored 100 runs.

Made debut for Pakistan in 2013

Shan Masood made his Test debut in the year 2013. After this, he has played 40 Tests for Pakistan, in which he has scored 2257 runs. During this period he has scored 6 centuries and 10 half-centuries. During this period his average has been 30.50. He has also played 9 ODI and 19 T20 matches for the Pakistani team.

African team made a big score

Batting first against Pakistan, the South African team scored a mountain-like score of 615 runs. Ryan Rickelton, Temba Bavuma and Kyle Warren scored centuries for the African team. It was because of these players that the African team was able to score big. Whereas Pakistan scored only 194 runs in the first innings. But in the second innings, Pakistani batsmen came with different intentions and the openers made a partnership of 205 runs. Shan Masood is present at the crease after scoring 102 runs and Babar scored 81 runs.
