Nuapada, 16th October : Political activity is increasing day by day regarding the Nuapada by-election. After the visit of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Opposition leader Pramila Malik called it a “show of strength” which will have no practical impact.
She said, “Even after the visit of the Chief Minister, nothing will change. This is just a show of strength. Our candidate is not weak; she is a strong woman leader of Odisha, the president of the women’s wing of the Biju Janata Dal.”
The declared candidate of the BJD is a prominent woman leader of Odisha, Snehangini Chhuria. She has been a minister and the leader of the women’s wing of the Biju Janata Dal for a long time. This selection sends a clear message that the BJD protects and respects women.
Pramila Malik said, “We respect women by fielding them. No other party tolerates this.”
Pramila Mallick targeted the BJP and its candidate Jai Dholakia, saying, “How can he be a representative of a party he is not in? He is not a party member, he is a foster son. The BJP is working very rigidly. Their party is divided into three or four groups.”
The BJD alleged that the CM’s visit was just an attempt to involve common people in registering their names, but there was no political depth in it.
The mothers and sisters of the area are happy that the BJD is fielding a woman candidate in the Nuapada bypoll. The BJD claims, “His conch shell symbol is Naveen Patnaik’s leadership and policies, and victory is assured in the future.”
