Former MLA Mohammad Moquim Hosts Sharadiya Durga Puja Get-Together in Cuttack

 

Cuttack, Sept 20 : On Friday evening, a Sharadiya Bandhu Milan (Durga Puja get-together) was organized on behalf of former Barabati-Cuttack MLA Mohammad Moquim at CDA Sector-6 in Cuttack. The event brought together various prominent personalities and stakeholders involved in Durga Puja celebrations across the city.

The program was graced by several dignitaries, including the Secretary of the Cuttack Puja Committee and former Banki MLA Prabhat Tripathy, Choudwar-Cuttack MLA Souvic Biswal, and Barabati-Cuttack MLA Sophia Firdous. Also present were Debendra Nath Sahu, President of the Cuttack Shanti Committee; Bhikhari Das, the Committee’s Secretary; Cuttack Mayor Subash Singh; Cuttack District BJD President Prafulla Singh; and Vijay Kumar Sahu, President of the East Zone Shanti Committee, along with its Secretary Prafulla Sahu. Social worker Giribala Behera and many other respected figures also attended the gathering.

Cuttack, known as the “City of Brotherhood,” has a long-standing tradition of celebrating Durga Puja in harmony. The invited guests echoed this sentiment, expressing their hope that the festival would conclude peacefully and with discipline, upholding the city’s rich legacy of unity and communal harmony.

During the event, the chairpersons and secretaries of all Puja Committees under the Cuttack Municipal Corporation were honored for their service and contributions. Members from various Puja mandaps across the city also participated in the get-together, making it a vibrant and meaningful celebration of togetherness during the festive season.
