CM’s Diwali gift to government employees, increased allowance

Bhubaneswar, October 16 : Ahead of Diwali, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has brought good news for state government employees and pensioners. He announced on Thursday that the dearness allowance (DA) has been increased by 3%.
With this increase, the DA of government employees has been increased from 55% to 58%. This will be implemented retrospectively from July 1, 2025. The increase will be paid in cash along with the salary for the month of October.
Good news for pensioners too, along with the increase in dearness allowance, the government has also increased the monthly allowance (TI) of pensioners by 3%. They will get this increase along with the October pension.
The decision will benefit about 8.5 lakh state government employees and pensioners. It will provide financial assistance to government employees before Diwali. The Chief Minister’s announcement has been widely welcomed and employee organizations have expressed gratitude to the government for this.
