Children’s Library for Pediatric Patients at Acharya Harihar Postgraduate Institute of Cancer (AHPGIC), Cuttack

Bhubaneswar, October 16 : A children’s library has been set up on the first floor of the old building of Acharya Harihar Postgraduate Institute of Cancer (AHPGIC), Cuttack for pediatric patients undergoing treatment.
This children’s library was designed to help children learn during treatment and has now taken a successful shape. The library, which has children’s story books, picture books, comics, coloring materials, games and digital learning tools, is creating a learning environment for children in the hospital premises.
This initiative focuses on the mental and emotional well-being of pediatric patients along with their medical needs. It helps in increasing positivity and self-confidence among pediatric patients by encouraging creativity and learning.
Trained counselors and staff at the hospital library are helping children engage in reading, storytelling, and interactive sessions.
