Bhubaneswar: Raja wrote a letter to Naveen. He expressed his feelings about the ongoing turmoil in BJD. On one hand, there is organizational elections in BJD and on the other hand, there is a lot of bickering among party leaders. Meanwhile, senior party leader Ranendra Pratap Swain’s letter to party chief Naveen Patnaik has heated up the political discussions. In the letter, Raja wrote that BJD should move forward with social justice, secularism and regional balance. SC, ST, OBC, minorities and women should be given a place in the state, district and block committees of BJD in proportion to their numbers. Some people should not be allowed to hijack the party’s organization. He also warned that the Waqf Bill controversy has put a question mark on our secularism. Therefore, appropriate steps should be taken to keep the ideals of secularism and social justice alive. Along with this, Ranendra has proposed to focus on preserving the BJD’s organization.
