14 Farmers Will Go On A 7-Day Visit To Malaysia: Odisha DYCM

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Agriculture Department took a big step on Friday. Farmers and agriculture officers will go on a 7-day visit to Malaysia from Friday and visit agro-based industries and agricultural research centres. They will also get an opportunity to learn about greenhouse production, advanced horticulture in modern systems and climate-tolerant farming methods. The program was formally inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo. The program is aimed at doubling the production and trade of agricultural products in the state. The Deputy Chief Minister has advised the farmers and officers to prepare a daily report of the visit to Malaysia.

The department has informed that 14 farmers and 14 officers from different regions will go to Malaysia in collaboration with the Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment Department and the Water Resources Department. NABARD and the World Bank will bear all the responsibilities of the program.
