Yashasvi Jaiswal’s record was broken in one stroke, 17 year old batsman made world record

Yashasvi Jaiswal Record Break By Ayush Mhatre: The Indian team is currently playing the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on Australia tour. Vijay Hazare Trophy is being played in domestic cricket in India. In this tournament, the match was played between Nagaland and Mumbai at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, in which Mumbai team won by 189 runs. 17 year old Ayush Mhatre has performed brilliantly for Mumbai and has shown a strong example of batting and played an important role in helping Mumbai win.

Ayush Mhatre scored 181 runs

Ayush Mhatre scored 181 runs in 117 balls against Nagaland, hitting 15 fours and 11 sixes. Because of his innings the team was successful in scoring 400 plus runs. Nagaland’s bowlers were able to stand against them and they batted in such a way that the opposition bowlers were left biting their teeth.

Jaiswal was left behind

Ayush Mhatre is just 17 years and 168 days old and has become the youngest batsman to score 150 plus runs in List-A cricket. He has made a world record with his excellent batting and has broken the record of star player Yashasvi Jaiswal. Jaiswal had scored 150 plus score in List-A cricket against Jharkhand in the year 2019. Then his age was 17 years 291 days. But now Ayush has left Jaiswal behind.

Youngest batsman to score 150+ in a List-A match:

  • Ayush Mhatre (Mumbai) – 17 years 168 days
  • Yashasvi Jaiswal (Mumbai) – 17 years 291 days
  • Robin Uthappa (Karnataka) – 19 years 63 days
  • Tom Purst (Hampshire) – 19 years 136 days

Shardul Thakur did all-round performance

Apart from Ayush Mhatre, Shardul Thakur, Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Siddesh Lad also performed well for Mumbai. Shardul scored 73 runs in just 28 balls, which included 2 fours and 8 sixes. Due to the strong batting of these players, Mumbai scored a total of 403 runs while batting first. After this, Nagaland team was reduced to 214 runs. Jagadeesha Suchith scored 86 runs for Nagaland, but he could not lead his team to victory. For Mumbai, Shardul, after batting, also performed brilliantly in bowling and took two wickets and thus Mumbai team won the match by 189 runs.
