This team qualified first for WTC Final 2025, entered by defeating Pakistan
The final match of the WTC 2023-25 cycle will be played in the year 2025 at Lord’s in England and all the teams are trying hard to reach the final. Now South Africa is at number one in the points table of the World Test Championship 2023-25 and has qualified for the final by defeating Pakistan. Africa has entered the finals. Currently one place is vacant and there is competition between Australia, India and Sri Lanka for it. Africa defeated Pakistan by 2 wickets in the first test match and booked the ticket for the final.
Kagiso Rabada won
In the first test match between South Africa and Pakistan, it did not seem certain that any team would win, but in the end the South African team won. Pakistan had given a target of 148 runs to Africa, which the African team achieved on the basis of short but important innings of Kagiso Rabada (31 runs) and Marco Jason (16 runs). Apart from these two, captain Temba Bavuma contributed 40 runs. Whereas Aiden McCram scored 37 runs.
Rabada remained at the crease
Kagiso Rabada has always been known for his excellent bowling. Here he presented an example of batting skills. At one time Africa had lost 8 wickets for 99 runs and had only two wickets left. In such a situation, the match could have gone in any direction. But Rabada remained at the crease and made Africa win. He hit a total of 5 fours during his innings of 31 runs. While bowling, he also took two important wickets in the match.
Aiden McCram showed his strength
Aiden McCram showed a strong performance in both the innings for South Africa. He played an inning of 89 runs in the first innings, due to which the African team was successful in crossing the 300-run mark. In the second innings, 37 important runs came from his bat. He was given the Player of the Match award for his excellent performance.
Pakistani team had scored 211 runs in the first innings, after which South African team had scored 301 runs in the first innings and took a lead of 90 runs. In the second innings, Babar Azam (50 runs) and Saud Shakeel (84 runs) played half-centuries for Pakistan, but the rest of the batsmen could not show anything special. Due to this, the team was all out for 237 runs and thus Africa got the target of 148 runs.
