Players like David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Shardul Thakur and Steve Smith have gone unsold in the auction. Apart from this, captain Tom Latham, who made New Zealand win the Test series against India, has also not found any buyer.
New Zealand won the test series on Indian soil
Under the captaincy of Tom Latham, New Zealand created history by winning the Test series for the first time on Indian soil. The Kiwi team not only won the Test series but also made a clean sweep of Team India. This was the first time that the Indian team had to face a clean sweep (3 or more Test matches) while playing in a Test on its own soil. Under Latham’s captaincy, Team India had suffered an unforgettable injury. Apart from this, the Indian team had lost the Test series on its soil since 2012. Latham scored a total of 157 runs in the Test series against India, which included an inning of 86 runs.

Tom Latham made his debut for New Zealand in T20 International in 2012. After this, he scored a total of 516 runs in 26 T20 International matches for the team, which included three half-centuries. But due to poor form he could never cement his place in the team.
