Kusal Perera became the highest run scorer for Sri Lanka in T20 International.

The Sri Lankan team won this match by 4 wickets, in which they first bowled out the New Zealand team at the score of 135 and then achieved the target in 19 overs. In this match, Sri Lankan team player Kusal Perera also managed to do a big miracle with the bat, in which he has now become the highest run scorer for Sri Lanka in T20 International.

Kusal Perera broke Tillakaratne Dilshan’s record

In the first T20 match of the series against New Zealand, Kusal Perera scored 23 runs in 17 balls with the help of 2 fours and a six, on the basis of which he managed to break Tillakaratne Dilshan’s record. Dilshan played 80 T20 International matches for Sri Lanka, in which he scored 1889 runs at an average of 28.19, which included one century and 13 half-centuries. Talking about Kusal Perera, he has played 73 T20 International matches so far and scored 1904 runs at an average of 27.59 and during this period, he has also seen 15 half-century innings with his bat. Kusal has also become the first Sri Lankan player to cross the 1900-run mark in T20 International.
