The problem of Champions Trophy 2025 will be solved on this day! ICC made a special plan

BCCI refused to send Team India to Pakistan for Champions Trophy 2025. Since then there has been a dilemma regarding this tournament. BCCI wants the tournament to be played in a hybrid model in which India’s matches are organized in a third country. Till now Pakistan Cricket Board has clearly denied this. Now ICC will hold a virtual (online) meeting on November 29 to resolve this issue. In which there will be discussion to finalize the program of Champions Trophy. There has already been a lot of delay in announcing its schedule.

ICC will hold a meeting

The ICC Board will meet on November 29 to discuss the Champions Trophy schedule, an ICC spokesperson told PTI on Tuesday. This important virtual meeting is taking place two days before BCCI Secretary Jay Shah takes charge as ICC President on December 1. He and other board members will be eager to resolve the matter before new officials take office.

PCB spent money on renovating the stadium

The Pakistan Cricket Board had earlier sent a draft schedule for the Champions Trophy 2025 to the ICC, in which matches were to be held in Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi. All of India’s matches were held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. PCB has spent a lot of money on the renovation of these stadiums. For this reason, PCB is making every effort to get the Champions Trophy held at its place. There were also reports in media reports that if Pakistan accepts the hybrid model, then India’s matches can be held in UAE or South Africa.

Asia Cup has been held on hybrid model

Earlier, Pakistan had got the hosting of Asia Cup 2023. Then it was played on the hybrid model, in which all the matches of Team India were held in Sri Lanka. Some matches were also held in Pakistan. Now India has accepted only hybrid model for Champions Trophy and Pakistan Cricket Board is rejecting it.

Have not visited Pakistan since 2008

The Indian team has not toured Pakistan since the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks. The last bilateral series between the two teams was played in the year 2012-13. Then the Pakistani team came to tour India. Since then, both the teams are seen playing against each other only in ICC tournaments and Asia Cup.
