Star Indian players out of Australia tour, BCCI announces replacement
India Women vs Australia Women: Indian women’s cricket team will play a three-match ODI series on Australia tour in December. The squad for this had already been announced by BCCI. Harmanpreet Kaur had got the responsibility of captaincy, but now the Indian team has suffered a big blow even before the tour. When wicketkeeper batsman Yastika Bhatia is out of Australia tour due to injury.
Uma Chhetri got the place
Yastika Bhatia suffered a wrist injury in the Women’s Big Bash League. This has been confirmed by the BCCI medical team. Now his recovery is being closely monitored. The Women’s Selection Committee has included Uma Chhetri in the team as her replacement. BCCI has given this information by tweeting.
Uma Chhetri has played only four T20I matches
Uma Chhetri is less experienced than Yastika Bhatia. 22-year-old Uma made her T20 International debut for Team India this year and has played only 4 T20 International matches for the Indian team, in which she has scored 9 runs in her name. Bhatia, on the other hand, has played 19 T20I matches for the team, in which he has scored 214 runs.
