Sanju Samson Career: Indian team’s wicketkeeper batsman Sanju Samson has been in excellent form for some time now and has performed well for Team India. In the first match against South Africa, he was successful in impressing everyone with his batting. At the beginning of his career, Sanju was in and out of the team and he also got more opportunities. While he was doing well in the IPL, his bat was silent in international cricket. He has also been a member of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup 2024. Then his luck changed in the series against Bangladesh.

Sanju has a golden opportunity to do wonders

Sanju Samson played an excellent inning of 111 runs against Bangladesh. After this, his good batting continued against South Africa and he scored 107 runs. In this way, he became the first Indian to score centuries in two consecutive T20I matches. Now the second T20 match between India and South Africa will be played on 10 November. If Sanju scores a century in this match, he will score centuries in 3 consecutive T20I matches. With this he will get his name registered in the pages of cricket history. Because till date in the history of T20 International cricket, no batsman has been able to score three consecutive centuries.

Scored more than 7000 runs in T20 cricket

Sanju Samson made his T20 International debut for the Indian team in 2015. Since then, he has scored 701 runs in 34 T20 International matches for the team, which includes two centuries and two half-centuries. During this period his highest score has been 111 runs. He is also playing 16 ODI matches. If we look overall in T20 cricket, Sanju has 7048 runs in his name.

Team India will have its eyes on winning the series

Team India has already taken a 1-0 lead in the series by winning the first T20 match against South Africa. Now by winning the second match, the Indian team would like to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. Apart from Sanju Samson, captain Suryakumar Yadav, Abhishek Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Rinku Singh were not able to play big innings in the first match. Now the responsibility will be on these batsmen to do well in the second T20.
