A three-match T20 series is being played between Pakistan and South Africa. The first match of this series was won by the South African team. In the second match of the series, Pakistan team won the toss and batting first, they scored 206 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. Sam Ayub has played a brilliant innings for Pakistan in this match. He has played an unbeaten inning of 98 runs in this match. He could have easily scored a century in this match, but his teammates did not support him and he could not score a century. Overall, it would not be wrong to say that he has been betrayed by his own players.

Sam could have scored a century

Young Pakistani batsman Sam Ayub scored 98 runs on 57 balls in this match. During this innings, he has batted at a strike rate of 171.92. He has hit 11 fours and 5 sixes. In this match, he fell just two runs short of scoring a century. Although he had every chance to score a century, he was not given a strike by his teammates and he was left standing at the non-striker’s end as well.

Fellow players did not give strike

Sam Ayub gave strike to Irfan Khan on the third ball of the 19th over of this match. After this, Irfan Khan hit a six on the fourth ball and a four on the fifth ball. After this, Irfan Khan took a single on the last ball of the over. Due to which he got a strike even in the 20th over. After hitting a four on the first ball of the 20th over, Irfan Khan was caught out on the second ball. After which Abbas Afridi came to bat. He played an inning of 11 runs in 4 balls and did not give strike to Sam Ayub on even a single ball. Ayub stood continuously for 9 balls scoring 98 runs at the non-striker’s end and no one thought about his century. These things clearly show that there is no unity at all in the Pakistan team.
