Rishabh Pant created history by scoring a ‘unique century’, the first Indian wicketkeeper to do so in the World Test Championship
IND vs AUS 1st Test: Rishabh Pant played an excellent inning of 37 runs in the first innings of the first Test match against Australia. He did not bat in the second innings. But he has scored a unique century with his strong fielding. Pant is counted among the best Indian wicketkeepers and his agility on the field is worth seeing. In the first innings against Australia, he took catches of Alex Carey, Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc. With this he has completed his 100 dismissals (catch + stumping) in the history of the World Test Championship. Before him, no Indian wicketkeeper had been able to complete 100 dismissals in the World Test Championship. Now Pant has made this big record in his name.

Rishabh Pant has become the third wicketkeeper in the history of the World Test Championship to complete 100 dismissals. Before him, Alex Carey (137 dismissals) and Joshua da Silva (108 dismissals) had done this. Pant has taken 87 catches and 13 stumpings in the WTC so far.
