PCB issued new players contract, excluded former captain
Something or the other keeps happening in Pakistan cricket which becomes a topic of discussion. This time, Pakistan Cricket Board i.e. PCB has released the new players contract list of its women players in which some surprising decisions have also been seen. PCB has not given place to former Pakistani women’s team player Nida Dar in the new contract. This time there are only 16 such players who have got a place in the new women players contract of PCB, a major reason behind which is considered to be the continuous poor performance of the team. Even in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup held in UAE in October, the Pakistani women’s team could not progress beyond the group stage.
Apart from Nida, these players also did not get place
Apart from Nida Dar, experienced players Aliya Riaz, Sidra Nawaz, Anosha Naseer, Iman Fatima and Shawal Zulfiqar have also not got a place in the new players contract issued by the PCB. In the year 2023 itself, PCB had given place to 20 players in the central contract for 12 months but this time this number reduced. Regarding the new central contract, a PCB source said that this new agreement has been prepared in view of the recent performance and the ICC Women’s Future Tour Program (2025-29), in which we have decided to include young players.
Muniba Ali and Fatima Sana got promotion
If we look at the new players contract of Pakistani women’s team, the current captain of the team, Fatima Sana has got promotion in which she is now a part of Category A and apart from this, Muniba Ali has also got promotion. Apart from this, Gul Firoza and Ramin Shamim have also got a place in Category D. If we look at the central contract of PCB, Fatima Sana, Muniba Ali, Sidra Amin are in Category A. Nashra Sundhu, Saadia Iqbal in Category B. Diana Baig, Omaima Sohail in Category C. Ghulam Fatima, Gul Firoza, Naziha Alvi, Ramin Shamim, Sadaf Shamas, Syeda Arub Shah, Tasmiya Rubab, Tooba Hasan, Umm e Hani have got place in Category D.
