The England Cricket Board has decided to name the bilateral Test series played between England and New Zealand after former England batsman Graham Thorpe. Graham Thorpe passed away recently. According to The Telegraph (UK), this trophy is being designed in New Zealand and will be named after two of the best players of both the countries, Martin Crowe and Graham Thorpe. The trophy will be unveiled before the start of the upcoming three-match Test series between New Zealand and England. Graham Thorpe committed suicide by jumping in front of a train on 4 August. This news sent a wave of mourning throughout the cricket world. Thorpe played 100 test matches for England and was counted among the great cricketers of his time.
