Pakistan announces team for Africa tour, takes shocking decision regarding Babar and Shaheen Afridi
Pakistan team has to play the first match of the three-match T20 series on the tour of South Africa from December 10, after that they have to play an ODI series of the same number of matches against the host team and then finally a 2-match Test series. Pakistan Cricket Board has finally announced the Pakistani team for the series of all three formats, in which some surprising decisions have also been seen. Pakistan team’s star fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has not got a place in the squad announced for the Test series to be played on this tour. Babar Azam, who was out of the last 2 Test matches of the series against England, has seen his return to the team.
Shaheen was not selected in the Test team keeping the Champions Trophy in mind
Regarding the decision of not giving place to Shaheen Afridi in the Test squad announced for South Africa tour, PCB selection committee member and interim head coach of limited overs of Pakistan team, Aaqib Javed said that we are planning to include Shaheen Afridi for next year’s Champions Trophy. Want to keep yourself completely fit. Apart from this, spinner Sajid Khan, who won the Player of the Series award in the home Test series against England, has not got a place in the Test squad, citing the conditions in Africa as the reason behind this.
