In the last 29 years, this series has created a special place in the hearts of the fans and day by day this series has increased its popularity. Many big records have been made in the series so far and many records have been destroyed. But there is one record which only David Warner and Virat Kohli have been able to make in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Kohli-Warner did wonders 10 years ago

So far, only superstar batsmen Virat Kohli and David Warner have been able to achieve the feat of scoring a century in both the innings of a Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Apart from these two, no other batsman has been able to do this in BGT. The special thing is that Kohli and Warner had scored centuries in both the innings of the same Test match held in Adelaide in 2014.

Showed his strength in the first test match as captain

In the year 2014, the Indian team went on Australia tour, but due to some reasons Mahendra Singh Dhoni could not play the first test match. Then the responsibility of captaincy was given to young Virat Kohli and he expressed his intentions as captain in the first test itself with his excellent batting. Kohli had scored 115 runs in the first innings and 141 runs in the second innings.

Warner also scored centuries in both the innings

In the same match, David Warner performed brilliantly for Australia. He scored centuries in both the innings and scored 145 runs in the first innings and 102 runs in the second innings. Apart from Virat Kohli and Murali Vijay, Team India’s batsmen could not perform well in the second innings of the match. For this reason, Team India had to face defeat by 48 runs.
