Mitchell Starc created history in MCG, broke the big records of Brett Lee and Steve Waugh

The ODI series between Australia and Pakistan has started from 4th November. The first ODI match is being played between the two teams at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Batting first after losing the toss, Pakistan team’s batting was very poor and the entire team could not play even 50 overs. Pakistan collapsed for just 203 runs in 46.4 overs. Mohammad Rizwan played the most innings for Pakistan. Rizwan played an inning of 44 runs in 71 balls with the help of 2 fours and 1 six. Apart from this, Naseem Shah contributed 40 runs.

Starc created a record

Mitchell Starc troubled the Pakistani batsmen the most. Starc took 3 wickets for just 33 runs in 10 overs. During this, he also bowled 3 overs of maiden. Thanks to this brilliant performance, Mitchell Starc created history on Australian soil. Actually, Mitchell Starc made his first victim in the form of Pakistani opening batsman Abdullah Shafiq. With this wicket, Starc completed his 100 wickets in ODIs on Australian soil. He became the sixth Australian bowler to do so. He entered the club of legendary bowlers like Brett Lee, Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne.

Before Starc, the feat of taking 100 ODI wickets at home for Australia was done by Brett Lee, Glenn McGrath, Shane Warne, Craig McDermott and Steve Waugh. After taking the wicket of Abdullah Shafiq, Starc hunted Sam Ayub and Shaheen Afridi and also left Steve Waugh behind in terms of taking the most ODI wickets in Australia.

Starc bowled out Sam Ayub and Shaheen Afridi and thus became the bowler with the most bowlers bowled out at the Melbourne Cricket Ground i.e. MCG. Starc made this big record by defeating Brett Lee. Brett Lee had bowled 7 batsmen in MCG.
