Champions Trophy is returning after 2017
The Champions Trophy was last organized by BCCI in the year 2017. It was closed since then. But in the year 2021, ICC decided to start it again. Champions Trophy matches are played on ODI format. That means full 50 overs. But the problem for the Indian team is that it will not play many ODI matches till the Champions Trophy. There is a lot of difference between ODI and T20 matches. In the time it takes for an entire T20 match to end, not even an innings of an ODI can be completed. That means long practice is required for ODI. No matter how much preparation the players do in the nets, it will not work unless they come on the field and play the real match.
Team India will play only three ODI matches before the Champions Trophy
When Team India returns after completing the Test series against Australia, its next series will be against England. First a series of five T20 matches will be played and after this there will be three ODI matches. The Champions Trophy will start soon after this. This means that Team India will get only three matches to implement its preparations, which may prove to be insufficient for the big ICC tournament. Don’t know what kind of plan and program BCCI has made that there are not many ODIs. This can prove fatal for the Indian team.
Dubai not lucky for Indian team
Not only this, Team India will play its matches in Dubai. Although the Indian team has played many matches there, but Team India has not gone to Dubai for some time. Therefore, there is no idea about what the conditions and pitch there will be like. Anyway, Dubai has not been at all lucky for the Indian cricket team. Whereas for Pakistan, there will be a home like atmosphere both in Dubai and Pakistan. In such a situation, he may not face much problem.
