IPL 2025: 3 IPL captains will be seen in the auction pool for the first time, there will be a fight between these teams including Punjab

A big revelation came on the evening of October 31 before the mega auction of IPL 2025. All 10 franchises have announced the names of the retained players. Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals retained the maximum 6-6 players. However, Kolkata released its captain Shreyas Iyer, who made him champion last season. Apart from this, Lucknow Super Giants also released KL Rahul. The paths of Rishabh Pant and Delhi have also parted ways. In such a situation, now all three players will be seen making a splash in the mega auction of IPL 2025. There may be a fierce battle between all the teams in the auction to buy the three players.

In fact, never before had three IPL captains been seen in the pool in any auction. In such a situation, this will be the first time when Rishabh Pant of Delhi Capitals, Shreyas Iyer of defending champion Kolkata Knight Riders and KL Rahul of Lucknow Super Giants will be seen trying their luck in the auction.

Pant can make a new record in the auction

A top official of a franchise told PTI that the actual bid for Rishabh would start from Rs 20 crore. There will be three teams who can make big bids for him. One is Punjab Kings which has Rs 110.5 crore. They need a new captain and a brand. RCB has Rs 83 crore and Lucknow Super Giants have Rs 69 crore and they also need a new captain.

There will be a fight in IPL auction

There will definitely be good bids for all three star players in the IPL 2025 auction but there is also a possibility that Rishabh Pant could become one of the highest paid players of IPL. Now it will be interesting to see which teams will compete in the auction to buy the three players.
