Vaibhav is currently playing for Team India in the Under 19 Asia Cup.

Only about a week has passed since the auction for IPL 2025. The next season of the Indian Premier League is still far away, but the same players who were sold for crores of rupees in the auction are now seen playing at different places. The special thing is that even though many players were unknown till now, the teams have suddenly brought them into the limelight by making them millionaires in the auction. Therefore, now everyone is keeping a close eye on his every match. Among them is the batsman, Vaibhav Suryavanshi. His age is still only 13 years. It is said that he is the youngest player sold in IPL. But after the auction, till now he has played two matches and has almost flopped in both. In such a situation, there is a fear that the bid worth crores of rupees made by the IPL team may go in vain and there is also a fear of losing money.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s base price was Rs 30 lakh, sold for Rs 1 crore 10 lakh

When Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s name was called in the IPL auction, his base price was only Rs 30 lakh. But as soon as his name came up, Delhi Capitals was the first to bid. Soon after this, Rajasthan Royals team also entered the field. Both the teams kept bidding one after the other for a long time. Seeing this, the fans were also surprised as to why there is so much fuss about this new and such a young player. Finally, when the bid reached Rs 1 crore, he joined Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1 crore 10 lakh.

Vaibhav has reached here only because of his sports.

The interesting thing is that Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar also did not get much bid in the IPL auction. Twice he went unsold, the third time when his name came up, Mumbai Indians bought him at the base price of only Rs 30 lakh. Apart from one team, no one bid on his name, but the war between the two teams regarding Vaibhav Suryavanshi continued for so long. This shows that there is something about Vaibhav, which sets him apart from other batsmen.

Vaibhav’s bat is not working in Under 19 Asia Cup

Vaibhav is currently playing for Team India in the Under 19 Asia Cup. It was expected that he would do the same explosive batting for the Indian team as he was bid for in the auction. His batting was awaited, but he completely disappointed. In the first match, when India faced Pakistan, he could score only one run after playing 9 balls and was out. After this, he also flopped against the Japanese team which was considered weak. Against Japan, Vaibhav scored 23 runs on 23 balls and was out. When the bid for a player is more than Rs 1 crore in a tournament like IPL, then such performance is not expected from him in two back to back matches.
