The third T20I match is being played between India and South Africa in Centurion. In this match, India batted first and scored a huge score of 219 runs after losing 6 wickets, thanks to a brilliant century by Tilak Verma. In response, when the South African team came out to chase the target, a unique incident was seen in the live match. Actually, it is common for cricket matches to be interrupted due to rain, but this match had to be stopped due to insects. This strange incident happened when South Africa’s opening pair was at the crease after scoring 7 runs after playing 1 over. Then suddenly there was an attack of insects on the field due to flood lights. Within a short time the entire field was filled with insects due to which the players had to leave the field. Due to insects the match had to be stopped for about 20 minutes. The video of this incident is now going viral on social media.
The match started at 8:30 Indian time in Centurion. In this match, South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, the Indian team got its first blow in the very first over. Sanju Samson could not even open his account. He was out for a duck for the second consecutive match. After this, Tilak Verma along with Abhishek Sharma took charge of the innings and batted stormily and scored the first century of his T20I career in the 19th over. In this way the Indian team managed to score 219/6 runs in 20 overs. After this, the South African team had just come on the field to chase the target when the insects hovering around the flood lights started coming towards the field and in no time they took the pitch and field in their embrace. After this the players went out of the field and started waiting for the match to resume. However, the game resumed after a delay of 20 minutes.
