IND vs AUS: Fans crossed all limits of shamelessness in Australia, BCCI was forced to take this step
IND vs AUS: The Indian team is currently in Australia and is busy preparing for the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The second test match between India and Australia will be played with pink ball in Adelaide. Both the teams are practicing vigorously in Adelaide for this match. During this time, the spectators are also enjoying the practice of both the teams. Actually, on November 3, the practice session was opened for fans. While a limited number of spectators had come to watch Australia’s practice session, thousands of people gathered to watch the Indian team. During this time something happened which forced BCCI to take strict action.
Actually, the practice place in Adelaide is very close to the auditorium. In such a situation, when thousands of fans arrived to watch the practice session of the Indian team, the atmosphere turned sour. This is the reason why BCCI has now taken a big decision. Fans will no longer be allowed in India’s practice sessions in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series against Australia after ‘indecent’ comments by some spectators caused discomfort to the players during the team’s practice ahead of the second Test starting on Friday.
Fans made indecent comments
A BCCI official told PTI on condition of anonymity that it was complete chaos. Not more than 70 people came during Australia’s training session, but around 3000 people were present during the session of Indian players. No one expected so many fans to come. He said that there was another fans day in Sydney (before the fifth Test), which has been canceled because the players were very hurt by the rude and insensitive comments made there. An eyewitness said that fans provoked players like Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant to hit sixes. Some fans made rude comments on the fitness of the team players.
Players had to face problems
Players like Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill faced a lot of trouble in practice because of many people. Some people were doing Facebook Live with their friends and talking loudly while the batsman was playing. He said that a fan was continuously requesting a player to say ‘hi (greeting)’ in Gujarati. A fan was making derogatory comments about the body of a particular player.
