India vs Australia 3rd Test: In the third Test match against Australia, Indian team captain Rohit Sharma has won the toss and decided to bowl first. Australia has so far scored 28 runs without any loss after 13.2 overs. Australian openers Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney presented an example of strong defence. Rain disrupted the match several times on the first day. No games were played after the first session due to bad weather. Now a total of 98 overs will be bowled in the last four days of the Gabba Test match, in which the match will start half an hour before the scheduled time.

It may rain on the second day also

The weather department has predicted rain for the next four days also. There is a possibility of rain on the second day also. According to the report of Accuweather, the probability of rain on Sunday, December 15 is up to 46 percent and strong winds may also blow. Apart from this, the sky may remain cloudy. In such a situation, it seems difficult to have play on the second day.

Lunch break taken early due to rain

For Australia, Usman Khawaja is currently playing with 19 runs in 47 balls and McSweeney is playing with four runs in 33 balls. Indian captain Rohit Sharma would be happy that the Australian opening pair could not score much runs, but both the batsmen thought it best to leave most of the balls. When it seemed that the Indian bowlers were in attacking mood, it rained and the rhythm of the bowlers was broken. Due to rain, lunch break was taken early and only 13.2 overs could be bowled in the first session.

Usman batted with better technique

For India, Jasprit Bumrah gave eight runs in six overs while Mohammed Siraj gave 13 runs in four overs. Despite the pitch getting bounce, he did not bowl many wicket-taking balls in the first spell of six overs while Siraj bowled mostly short pitched balls. Khawaja gave him advice by hitting two fours. Even in the sixth over, the game had to be stopped due to drizzle when the score was 19 runs. The fast bowlers were not getting swing from the pitch and Bumrah could trouble Khawaja only on a few occasions. Siraj was removed after the first spell of three overs and the ball was handed over to Akash Deep who gave two runs in 3.2 overs. Everyone’s eyes were on how Khawaja plays Bumrah’s balls. He used good technique and kept the bat close to the body. He played only those balls which were thrown on his body.
