ICC gave reply to PCB in its own language, Champions Trophy can be held even without Pakistan
ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Pakistan Cricket Board i.e. PCB has to host the ICC Champions Trophy in the year 2025 in the month of February-March, but after BCCI refused to send Team India to play in Pakistan, ICC thought of hosting it on hybrid model. However, the PCB is not yet ready to conduct the tournament in this manner, due to which the schedule of the Champions Trophy has not been announced yet. On November 29, ICC had a meeting with PCB and BCCI in which an attempt was made to reach a consensus on conducting it on hybrid model, but no announcement was made by ICC. Now such news is coming out that ICC has replied to PCB in its own language.
ICC warned PCB
ICC has now warned the PCB regarding the Champions Trophy 2025, in which according to the news of news agency PTI, the ICC has clearly told the PCB to either accept the hybrid model or throw them out of the tournament. Will be given. After the virtual meeting held on 29 November, the decision has been postponed by the ICC till 30 November. In his statement given to PTI on the condition of anonymity, an ICC Board source said that no broadcaster will pay even a single penny for any ICC event in which the Indian team is not a part and Pakistan also knows this. Now the ICC meeting will be held on November 30 only if PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi agrees to the hybrid model.
Tournament can be held even without Pakistan
In his statement, the ICC Board source further said that if Pakistan is not ready for the hybrid model, then a decision can be taken to hold the Champions Trophy in some other country, which could also be UAE. And that too without Pakistan. Now all eyes are on the ICC meeting to be held on November 30, in which some big decisions can be taken.
