Meanwhile, former Team India player Harbhajan Singh has given a big statement regarding the defeat against New Zealand. He has raised many questions regarding the pitch used during this series.
Spin bowlers dominated
During the second and third matches of the Test series, the complete dominance of the spin bowlers was visible. New Zealand’s batsmen batted very well against Indian spin, but Team India’s batsmen seemed to completely fail against spin during this series. Regarding this, Harbhajan Singh has criticized the pitches of Pune and Mumbai. Team India was given a target of only 146 runs to win in Mumbai. While chasing, the Indian team got all out on the score of 121 runs. Regarding this, Harbhajan Singh has said that he dug a pit for others and fell in himself.
What did Harbhajan Singh say?
Harbhajan Singh while talking to ANI made this comment on Team India. He said that the Australia tour is going to be more difficult for Team India, but one good thing is that the pitches there will be very good for cricket. Indian pitches were very good for spin bowlers. He further said that if a Test match ends in just two and a half or three days then it is not a good thing for Test cricket. The test match should be played for five full days. In which both the teams can get a chance to play well. If a pitch like this is made then one team gets more benefit from it. He also said that if we had played on a good pitch, the Indian batsmen would have performed well.
