Jasprit Bumrah World Test Championship: The Indian team suffered a humiliating defeat by 184 runs in the fourth Test match against Australia and fell 1-2 behind in the series. Even though Team India lost the match, Jasprit Bumrah was successful in winning everyone’s hearts with his bowling. His balls had no answer for the lethal Australian batsmen. Bumrah did not get support from the other end. For this reason the team had to face defeat.

Bumrah did wonders

Jasprit Bumrah took four wickets in the first innings of the fourth Test match against Australia and 5 wickets in the second innings. In this way, Bumrah took a total of 9 wickets in the match. As soon as he took a five-wicket haul in the second innings, Bumrah completed his 10th five-wicket haul in the World Test Championship. With this he has achieved a historic feat, as he has become the first fast bowler to take 10 five-wicket hauls in the WTC. He has left Pat Cummins behind. The Australian captain has 9 five-wicket hauls in his name in the WTC.

Took more than 200 test wickets in test cricket

Jasprit Bumrah made his Test debut for the Indian team in 2018. Since then, he has remained an important link in the Indian fast bowling attack. If he is in rhythm, it becomes difficult for the opposing batsmen to score runs. The special thing about him is that he plays well in all three formats. So far, he has taken 203 wickets in 44 test matches for Team India.

Played important role in T20 World Cup 2024

Jasprit Bumrah also presented a stellar example of bowling for the Indian team in the T20 World Cup 2024 and took 15 wickets. For this reason he received the Player of the Tournament award. He has taken 149 wickets in ODI cricket and 89 wickets in T20 International for Team India. Seeing his strong performance, ICC has nominated him for Cricketer of Year and Test Cricketer of the Year.
