Just a few months before the end of the year, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the central contract. A total of 29 players have been given central contracts. Of these, seven players have been given a central contract for two years while 19 players have got a place in the central contract for one year. At the same time, three players were successful in getting England development contracts. There are 7 such players in the central contract of England who have got the contract for the first time. These include Jamie Smith, Shoaib Bashir, Will Jacques, Olly Stone, Phil Salt, Jacob Bethel and Josh Hull.
The England cricket team is currently on the West Indies tour. This tour will start from October 31 in which the first 3-match ODI series will be played. After the ODI series, a 5-match T20I series will be organized between England and West Indies. After this tour, the England team will leave for New Zealand where it has to play a 3-match Test series. From the point of view of the World Test Championship 2023-25, this series is going to be very important for both the teams. This test series will start from 28th November. Recently, England had to lose the 3-match Test series 1-2 on Pakistan tour.
